Facebook Design System Patterns

FDS "Pattern" is a reusable user flow for completing a task. The UX is built with a set of predetermined components that solve a single, repeatable, and universal problem.

The Facebook App has a high prevalence of inconsistent but similar task-completion flows app-wide that cause delays (reviews, discussions) and poor user-experience (high cognitive load) in app. We plan to test the hypothesis that consolidating these disparate patterns into a single, shared implementation can impact internal velocity and app usability.

Volta Mitte

The objective was to create a series of posters, which display the architecture of Volta Mitte, a new mixed-use urban planning project in Basel.

Each poster displays a different theme using distinct shapes and a custom typeface based on the triangular architectural elements of Volta Center, a residential building within Volta Mitte’s campus.
