A collection of projects developed under the Windows Design Direction team, exploring how Fluent Design principles can shape more expressive and human-centered system experiences.

My People
A communication feature that brings personal connections directly into the Windows 10 taskbar.
The project rethinks how users access their closest contacts by allowing them to pin friends and colleagues as icons for quick chat or email. The concept blends function and familiarity, treating the taskbar as both a workspace and a social touchpoint. Motion and light were used to express presence and responsiveness, creating a feeling of warmth within a functional environment.

Mixed View
An interaction model designed to simplify complex system actions through a single, fluid motion.
Mixed View allows users to access multiple layers of information and action without losing context. By combining navigation, preview, and depth into one gesture, the concept makes system-level interactions faster and more natural. The result is a cleaner visual rhythm that reduces cognitive load while maintaining flexibility.

OS as Stage
A conceptual direction that frames the operating system as a living environment for human interaction.
Instead of treating the OS as static utility, this exploration focuses on how depth, motion, and material can create hierarchy, emotion, and rhythm. Windows becomes a stage where content, people, and tools coexist, expressive yet disciplined. The idea influenced later Fluent Design refinements, emphasizing presence, dimensionality, and adaptive light.
